The pandemic has had a profound impact on companies of all shapes and sizes, with many having taken the decision to reduce the size of their office space, or in some cases, abandon them altogether.
For Wetherall’s however, we see an office of our own in the city centre as a permanent feature. It provides new and existing clients somewhere to visit that is centrally located, whilst giving our staff a dedicated space to be together as a team and really feel part of something.
Speaking of our people, I’ll also take this opportunity to welcome our newest team member Phetlada Kamchaiya, who joins us this week. Phet (pronounced ‘Pet’) will be working within our client services team, providing support to our financial planners and to our clients, with a longer term goal of training to be a paraplanner. We’re dedicated to delivering a high level of personal service, so with more new clients coming on board than ever before, we’ll be continuing to add to our team in the months to come.
We’re also committed to delivering advice in the way that suits you best. Our recent client survey revealed that 40% of you would like to continue to use video conferencing for your financial review meetings going forwards. Zoom sessions will now remain available indefinitely, giving you the flexibility to meet with us virtually if you prefer.
However, for the 60% of you that would still prefer to meet with us face-to-face, we look forward to welcoming you to our lovely new space here in the heart of the city. You’ll find us just around the corner from our previous offices in City Tower, close to all major transport links and a host of Manchester’s finest shops, bars and restaurants.
Whilst I’d love to think you come to see us solely for the pleasure of our company, I suspect the ability to combine it with a shopping trip, dinner and possibly a few drinks in Manchester has something to do with it…
